A Stitch In Time

A Stitch In Time came about when I was forced to make a career change. At that time I had to re-evaluate what I enjoyed doing and determine if it could be developed into a means to support myself.

Upon my introduction to buckskinning, it became apparent that there was limited resources available with regard to clothing particularly for women and children or anything specialized. Here was a way to combine my skills in leather work, sewing, and design to fill a need. All did not go smoothly in the very beginning but fortunately a couple of oldtime buckskinners took this bewildered pilgrim under their wing and provided guidance and support (actually they threatened me if I gave up). Thanks Moose and Gypsy!

After a couple of set-backs things started to roll. That was 13 years ago! Since that time I have continued to develop reproduction historical clothing to suit individual needs.

The quality of my garments is such that people are still wearing what they purchased from me before I became a trader (sutler, merchant). As my reputation and garment selection has grown so has the need to expand my customer base, hence this web-site.
